January 1, 2010 - Living Desert in Palm Desert
New Year's Day I traveled to Palm Desert to the Living Desert to meet up with my friend to take photos. It was a little difficult getting up the day after attending a New Year's Eve party but I managed. My husband planned to stay home and nurse his hangover and I thought I could either sit around and do nothing all day or actually get out and take some photos. I'm glad I did. After spending about spending 5-1/2 hours at the Living Desert, I hit the road and heading home. Now that was hard. I was tired and hungry and the drive seemed extra long now.

Great shots! I wish I knew you were in the southland, I spent new years eve and day in Fontana taking pics of Birds of Paradise in a Carl's Jr.s parking lot..:-)
