Bridal Shower - November 2010

so in November I attended a bridal shower.  I took my camera mostly for my own practice.  I walked in and asked the bride's mother if I could take some photos.  She was so excited that someone brought a camera to the event and asked if I could take photos for her daughter.

Unexpected, about a week later, I received a $100 gift certificate from the Bride to be and her mother to the restaurant where the shower was held.    I think I had my first photography job!

Still practicing with the Lensbaby.  Since I was home today and it was another beautiful day, I took advantage of some afternoon sun.

A friend from work, as seen here--rob castro--let me borrow his lensbaby this weekend.  I had the a large part of the day to myself, so I went outside to my front lawn where there appears to be a crop of mushrooms growing. 

These shots of Savannah are her on the couch being a perfect blurred model for me.

I love black and white.  It seems, to me, so exposed; so simple.  It's there in front of you without color or distraction.  Simplicity in it's true form.
